BoC Fintech Hackathon 5.0.

Synopsis:

‘The Bank of Cyprus is organizing the 5th BoC Fintech Hackathon 5.0, focused on innovative technologies in the financial sector (Fintech), on October 18-20, 2024. It will be held in person at the IDEA Innovation Center.

Developers, startups, professionals, students, and anyone interested in participating and actively contributing to the development of applications that promote innovative youth entrepreneurship and the development of services and applications in the fintech sector can participate in the BoC Fintech Hackathon 5.0.

The goal of the BoC Fintech Hackathon 5.0 is to create innovative solutions around Fintech, up to the stage of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), with the prospect of future development into fully functional applications.

Through the upgraded open banking APIs (sandbox) and the SDK (Software Development Kit), the Bank of Cyprus will provide technological support for the teams' applications to incorporate innovative features such as payment processing and the development of services utilizing transaction data in a secure manner.

For the teams that will excel, there will be significant monetary and other prizes, which you can see below:

  • 1st place €5,000
  • 2nd place €3,000
  • 3rd place €2,000

An additional €2000 for the best utilization of Jinius APIs.’
