C4E 101: Series of Lectures in Innovation and Entrepreneurship - Spring 2025-2026
With Wael Al Masri CEO at Innaton Technologies
When: Wednesday January 28, 2026, 16:30-17:30
Where: Room 008, Building XOD 02
Synopsis:
AI makes it easy to produce convincing demos. This session looks at what changes when AI assisted work meets real conditions. Users. constraints. risk. We will cover repeatable techniques for turning AI from a generator into a build partner that holds up in the real world. How to surface hidden assumptions early, bake constraints into the work as you build, and catch failure modes while they are still cheap to fix. The emphasis is not on prompts or tools. It is on practical habits for making AI assisted work reliable. Whether you build, ship, research, or invest.
The Speaker:
Wael Masri has a background in software engineering, applied AI, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship. A former student of the University of Cyprus, he has founded and contributed to several startups and innovative projects across different domains.
At 16, he created Soiltron, a renewable energy technology that generates electricity from soil. It later reached the final three of Web Summit’s PITCH competition, where he presented it live to a 15,000-person audience. He later led a 17-person team to win the global NASA Space Apps Challenge and received the Presidential Award for Best Innovation. He is an experienced public speaker across talks, panels, and interviews, reaching international audiences in the hundreds of thousands.
He has shipped and led multiple innovative products using AI as part of the core development process, across applied AI, developer tooling, and cybersecurity. His focus is turning AI assisted development from shiny demos into systems that remain reliable, secure, and maintainable under real constraints.
